Can't discount as much as with water, but it still turns out pretty hard right away. I've definitely been known to sell it in as few as 4 weeks, but as everyone else has said, it just gets better with age!Amy Wardenhttp://www.greatcakessoapworks.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3266010017192960400.post-9551328639523430932011-03-19T13:52:14.244+00:002011-03-19T13:52:14.244+00:00hello your blog is great! It just doesn't seem possible in the make-up of its chemistry, despite water discount or silk fibers..Cocobong Soapshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07549591583801464960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3266010017192960400.post-79059308676504868512011-03-18T04:13:15.902+00:002011-03-18T04:13:15.902+00:00My mom is obsessed with my castile soap and I don&...My mom is obsessed with my castile soap and I don't really enjoy making it because it takes forever to trace. I love the name you gave it. :)

If you're happy with it sooner...then use it sooner (I do!). But I always put half of the batch away for 4-6 months. I think "slimy" castille is also due to using full water. Since you did such a water discount...that really does help to cut down on the slimy factor.

I've never used silk...I might need to experiment with that!Amandahttp://www.lovinsoap.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3266010017192960400.post-1190144005174147542011-03-17T19:02:30.694+00:002011-03-17T19:02:30.694+00:00What a nice post.
